William Tanner

Bill Tanner serves as Webbed Marketing’s Chief Financial Officer. Tanner has more than 25 years of broad based experience in business strategy, corporate finance, venture capital and business valuation. He has served as a board member or the chief financial officer for more than a dozen companies, assisting them with strategic planning, raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, business valuation and planning for shareholder liquidity.

Mr. Tanner has served as the chief financial officer for both public and private companies. As chief financial officer for Symix Systems he led the company’s successful IPO in 1991. From 1994 to 1996 he served as the chief financial officer of SaleSoft, Inc., an information technology start up company that is the subject of a popular Harvard Business School case study. He began his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co in 1980.

Mr. Tanner received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Valuation Analyst. He has taught accounting and business courses at the University of Minnesota, The Ohio State University, and Ohio Dominican University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
