About Mary Roebuck

Mary Roebuck

Born in Columbus and then we moved to Michigan for three years. Then back to Ohio. Then I was a kid for a while before going to school, which I hated, like most well-balanced folks do. We took big family trips every summer, driving across the country in our big, blue van. Then high school, which I hated even more, as all well-trained geeks do. My next step took me 180 degrees away from high school. Oberlin. Which was awesome. But I chose a major that doesn't do much for you, English/Cinema Studies. After bumming around for a few years after graduation I moved to Boston where I worked as a Digital Archivist at Houghton Mifflin. While thrilling for a while, my boredom with cities and a psychotic roommate eventually drove me back to Ohio. Where I broke my ankle and took up canoe racing. Now I'm starting Library School in Bloomington. Which is apparently the sexiest field. They don't tell you that till you get here. It's a secret.
