Last week, Twitter announced that they had found their perfect match in Summize, a Twitter search tool.

About a year ago Twitter introduced their own search tool called Track, which noone I know has
ever used. Summize created an extremely more useful and accurate Twitter search tool that allowed users to filter and search through all Tweets.

The official Twitter blog says:

We’re excited to announce that Twitter has acquired Summize—an
extraordinary search tool and an amazing group of engineers. All five
Summize engineers will move to San Francisco, CA and take jobs at
Twitter, Inc. This is an important step forward in the evolution of
Twitter as a service and as a company.

The new old Twitter Search Tool is available at http://search.twitter.com where anyone, even non-twitter members can search. Twitter seems to be going for a very simplistic, Google-esque look to their new search page. Personally I miss the Summize colors!

In sort of unrelated news, I discovered a great Twitter application that is still in beta called TweetDeck recently.Tweetdeck
It is my favorite application so far because it lets you organize your Twitter friends into groups so that you can keep track of your feed more easily and not miss Tweets from your closest friends.

For those who want to boast their number of followers on Twitter check out @thecounter. This neat tool lets you check the popularity of yourself or other Twitter members and then post the number of followers to your blog or website. See how many followers you have at TwitterCounter.com.

Note: @thecounter posts Twitter updates every few seconds.

SEO? SEM? Buzz and Viral Marketing?

How does it all apply to your business?

That’s where we come in.

Webbed Marketing is an Internet marketing firm built with a simple objective: to help you use the Internet to grow your business.

That means actionable plans and real results. Real results like these:

  • The Search Engine Optimization program that helped a client achieve
Google page one ranking on its most important keywords and raise
the Google PageRank of the client’s home page six points in six months.
  • The Search Engine Marketing campaign that helped a client increase
paid search engine traffic by 400% while lowering the cost per click.
  • The Internet word of mouth campaign that got dozens of bloggers,
discussion forum members and other online influencers talking about a
    client’s newest product.
  • The online public relations campaign that positioned a client’s
press release in the number one spot in both Google News and Yahoo!
News for its most important keywords and resulted in dozens of online
media pickups and follow up interviews from main stream media outlets
    and influential bloggers.

But ultimately, the only metric that really matters is how much we
can help an organization use the Internet to grow. And that is where we
excel.
